Gridface: This pic was initially started while I was still at college and still new to the C64 graphics scene. It was designed to be a far grander affair than the very mediocre effort it ended as. Initially it was going to be the wire frame face, with the face then disolved in over the top of the wireframe and then possibly animated (eyes etc.). As I said, I was new to the game and didn't realise till it was all but completed, the extreme attribute clash that would ensue as the two pics were dissolved into each other. Hence the project was shelved and this was just kicked out with the bits left over. It made me realise why most animated bitmaps (Bob Stevenson's etc.) were done in greys. :) A classic case of the artist writing cheques that the machine couldn't cash!
